Alderman Ronnie L. Mosley was sworn into Chicago’s city council to represent the 21st Ward on May 15, 2023, and is currently its youngest member. He has a deep connection to the ward, having been raised there himself and brings a wealth of experience in policy organizing and civic engagement to his role as Alderman.

Mosley's journey in public service began at age 14 as an intern for a community development organization that services the Auburn Gresham portion of his ward. Since then, he has been working in and with every level of government, bringing together community members and decision-makers to improve opportunities and resources. Becoming an alderman allows him to dedicate himself full-time to serving his community and giving back to the place that invested in him.

One of Alderman Mosley's primary goals is to ensure that the 21st Ward thrives by focusing on creating community engagement strategies that bring about systematic change and continuous improvement. In his role as an Alderman, he serves as the council’s Vice-Chair of the Committee on Economic, Capital & Technology Development. He is also a member of several other committees, including Budget & Government Operations; Finance; and Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards. 

Outside of his professional and civic engagements, Alderman Ronnie Mosley resides in Chicago's Washington Heights community. He is married to his college sweetheart and is a proud paw-rent to their goldendoodle. He cherishes his role as a son and brother, further emphasizing his commitment to family and community.
